Canadian premiere of Dutch documentary “Power to the People” in Ottawa

The Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-operative (OREC) and SMARNTet Alliance are partnering to bring you the Canadian premiere of the Dutch documentary “Power to the People”.  This event will also include a discussion on the future of the clean economy moderated by a local expert of renewable energy technologies.

Small scale and local

There is a big revolution going on in ‘the small’.  From energy to insurance, everything is small-scale and locally produced. In this short documentary, witness a revolutionary answer to the world of multinationals.  After the industrial and the digital revolution, we are now in the middle of an energy revolution.  More and more people are installing solar panels on their roofs or banding together to build a windmill.  In the process they are becoming less dependent on major energy suppliers.  Their motto: do it yourself, do it together.
